Ethylene-acrylic elastomer (AEM)
What is ethylene acrylic elastomer (AEM/AECM)?
The AEM is a co-polymer of ethylene, acrylate and a cross-linking carboxyl group. The ethylene unit forms the soft segmet. The rubber can be peroxidically crosslinked via the carboxyl group
cross-linked
be crosslinked. The rubber has high mechanical properties as well as good resistance to heat, oxygen and ozone. However, mineral oil resistance decreases compared to polyacrylate rubbers.
