What is chlorosulfonyl polyethylene rubber (CSM)?

Polyethylene that has been chlorinated or sulphonated in some places. The exact chlorine or sulphur content has a significant influence on the properties. However, it can be said that CSM generally has a high resistance to ozone, weathering, ageing, radiation and flames. It is also resistant to chemicalsespecially oxidizing ones as well as acids and bases. The cross-linking usually takes place on sulphur via metal oxides.
