What is ethylene acrylic elastomer (AEM/AECM)?
The AEM is a co-polymer of ethylene, acrylate and a cross-linking carboxyl group. The ethylene unit forms the soft segment. The rubber can be peroxidically cross-linked via the carboxyl group. crosslinked crosslinked via the carboxyl group. The rubber has high mechanical properties as well as good resistance to heat, oxygen and ozone. However, the mineral oil resistance decreases compared to polyacrylate rubbers.
